Can you explain say how a page of heart could use their powers for themselves compared to them using them for others?

I mean, a Page of Heart would use their powers for themselves primarily, they do have that Selfish Active tint to their actions. “Getting served through Heart” specifically makes a creepy ‘Harem’ image pop up in my head, too.

All the aradiabots were technically sprites and they were doomed

They inhabited a physical body though so the denomination is a little bit nebulous!

I'm still confused about classes and all that, but I know that I'm an Heir of Hope, and I was wondering if you could sort of explain the potential of that

Here!

a thing I just noticed on rereading -- part of the wallpaper in Dave's dream room kind of looks like the Rage symbol (seen on page 1704). do you suppose this is an intentional thing done by Gamzee alongside the placement of Cal?

Not sure- With an intricate background like that, I have a feeling Hussie may have googled ‘wallpaper patterns’ and gone from there. Seems a bit of a superfluous coincidence. But then again who knows what goes through that madman’s mind when making these panels.

maybe it's just me, but are heir and muse a little similar?

In the fact both are kinda shaped by their circumstances? Not necessarily though, Heirs tend to just roll with it.

Hey, I have my own two cents on the rage aspect. I think its actually about skepticism and realism? Like, about being disatisfied with flaws in stuff like societal systems. It's a destructive force right? Kind of like how doom and time are pretty depressing aspects.

It can be, but I don’t think either of those three are necessarily ‘depressing Aspects’, you can just as well have a Light Player who’s obsessed with Fate to the point it’s restrictive and sad for them or a Life Player who’s constantly seeing those around them get hurt or sick and barely being able to help them through it.

Would an inverted Witch of Heart (meaning Witch of Heart is the inversion) behave like a normal Witch of Heart or would there be a difference? Asking for story purposes

Inversion theory is OUT, in this house we go by the Roleplay Theory. People don’t just invert, they emulate Classes or Aspects of important figures in their lives or that are being forced upon them, in which case they just, to varying degrees of success, incorporate the actual Classpect traits to what they do.

Can you tell us more about roleplay theory?

@revolutionaryduelist Has gone quite in depth about it in the past, but the gist of it is that ancestral figures and guardians heavily affect the way characters act, and shape their Class and Aspect at certain points. It’s not even the actual character’s Class and Aspect either, but their perceived Class and Aspect.

For example, take Vriska, who, for a huge part of her arc, is influenced by Mindfang. She tries to improve Tavros, make him more relevant, better, while trying to match the romance Mindfang had with the Summoner, tries to be like a Sylph. Or for example, Rose feels regret about her mother and wants to get to know her better, be closer to her, which leads her to drinking. Booze is explicitly Void coded, and sure, Grimdarkness with the Horrorterrors being Void-Coded also could have had part of it, but you could explain a lot of Rose’s Void leaning and Void Magics and communion with the Eldritch Gods to her trying to get closer to her Mother as well.

Dirk is often compared to a Knight and Knighthood, even though he’s a Prince, but he struggles heavily with his self and not wanting to give in to his bad traits, and it seems trying to follow in Alpha Dave’s steps is a way in which he attempts that. You can find this in a lot of characters, if not most of them, and it’s EXTREMELY obvious in Hiveswap where all the Characters have their own Aspects, but heavily show traits of their Caste’s Aspect as well, influenced by the way society pegs them into very specific roles.

It does make sense that rage would deal w/ realism! For ex. Lynera is being realistic in the sense that she knows Bronya won’t reciprocate and as a result shaped a lot of her actions and emotions around that fact

I mean I’m not saying Rage doesn’t tie to realism, rather that it’s not necessarily a negative trait! It definitely ties to it, you don’t really have to look at any examples at all, it’s canonically described as the Aspect of those who “posses great contempt for lies or false ideas, including the stability that false ideas can impart”, and that would “tear down a system just to destabilize it if, by their reckoning, it is built on faulty premises”.

So I noticed that some female troll talk-sprites have black lips, and some match there blood color, so do trolls wear black lipstick or dose it mean there not wearing lipstick

Depends on how fashionable they are.

Also btw, I think your aspects aren't neccesarily defined by personality?? They're defined by how the world interacts with you and how you like interact with IT? Because i think its more of a story mechanic in the story of Homestuck, used only as a narrative tool for symbolism.

The thing is, in Homestuck, the way you interact with the world is heavily defined by your personality and your drive. The will of the characters shape the story.

Also we literally have a personality quiz based on Aspects so like, yeah.

I know we had Folykl and kuprum, but was it ever officially confirmed how... sexual moirails get? They don't have to turn in buckets of genetic material, but people have sex for more reasons than to procreate

You just answered your question there. It’s really the same as you’d see with any close relationship of that kind, it depends on the two.

Do you know of anyone anywhere who has traced the entire path of lil cal? For the life of me I cannot figure out his god damn time line.
