That whole thing with Lanque and Lynera was all kinds of uncomfortable to watch.
On one side, Lynera’s creepy and stabby. On the other, she didn’t deserve to get torn down so hard. Please give all Jades a supportive, happy environment to thrive in so none of them have to resort to blocking their political ideals, having their freedom restricted, obsessing over only one thing that can bring joy to their life, give their hope away in nihilism, or desperately seek out new experiences in toxic manners.
Note to the last anon! While I do want to talk about this Friendsim, I WILL try to refrain not being too specific with the Epilogue stuff. However, as for MSPA Reader’s Classpect, I can assure it’s 100% NOT Blood at this point, and I’ve actually been suspecting that for a while now. I’ll go more in-depth when… I don’t know, some point next week.
Ok, so from the perspective of someone who cannot play the friendsim yet, just from the posts I’m seeing then scrolling past it seems that their all about Lanque, whitch is really supprising to me since the other route is clown twins, whom I would have expected to be front and center. Anyway it’s all making me really excited to play it.. when I have like 2h to spare
Oh yeah, the Twins are great too, no spoilers here, they’re just not as controversial. Just so you have some context without spoilers…
V, the writer of Marvus’ route, wrote Lanque’s.
wakraya:
Hey guess who made this in preparation for the Tumblr Purge.
I’ll see about getting a Pillowfort, and I’ll still post here, specially on my analysis blog, as long as it stays up and running, but yeah, gotta see where I’ll go after this whole mess! I’ve downloaded backups of my blogs, too, so that’s something at least.
Also apparently there’s no way to disable having people see who you’re following or what you liked? Be warned, I may not retweet NSFW, but I’m not making a Twitter to NOT be Horny on Main. SMH.
What do you think Lanque's character changes mean? I know the last volume was pretty meta in his route and it probably doesn't mean anything else than the writer going "Haha, half of the fanbase is saying he will be a pure soft boi and the other that he'll be an edgy jerk, let's give them both to make fun of them :)" BUT if it had any significance outside of meta reasons, what do you think it means? Two split timelines just like with Fozzer? That he's twofaced?
It really doesn’t mean much, they’re two sides of the same coin. They’re both the same character, over-amplified a bit to tease the fans. SFW Lanque is playing up his gentle side, while NSFW Lanque is very pushy and sex-driven because it’s what he went to do at that party. In a casual setting, he’s not going to be either extreme, but neither of those are him acting particularly off I don’t think.
That being said, both routes are def poking fun at the ‘problematic vs unproblematic’ purity culture thing and the expectations the fans set for the character.
