Just curious, since you peg Knight as a passive class, what do you think about the theory that Sburb wants things to be balanced? Most of the time, I see theories with Knights as active, which then pushes the idea that Sburb wants things to be even. An even number of players on each moon. An even number of passive vs. active players. Do you kinda see what I'm saying? What's your take on that?
It’s an interesting take! You could definitely argue against the Knight’s Passivity or the Page’s Activity or a number of other Classes, until Hussie canonically states one or the other it’s all theories. However, the idea that SBURB wants things to be even crumbles immediately on the very first example you proposed.
I can imagine the rule of being ‘even’ to be like a lot else in SBURB. Classes being divided into Active and Passive but not necessarily being reflective of the Players’ actions 100% of the time, exceptions. And with the number of players on each moon, you have a Canon Example. Aradia, being Dead at the beginning of the Session, lacks a tower, and Sollux, who’s the Special Duality Boy, gets one on each Moon. The result is still a combined 12 Towers, but it leaves 7 Dream Selves on the Prospit Moon, and 5 on the Derse Moon ( With a dormant 6th in the Crypt of Derse ).
SBURB does seem to favor wanting to even things out with a lot of stuff, but canon shows us it doesn’t necessarily have to be that way.
