What's the difference between the Mage and Sylph classes?

Are the Mage and Sylph Classes that similar? Sylphs are meddlesome, work for the benefit of others, isolate themselves from those they don’t quite trust or have much of a relationship with, and are part of the Creation Classes, Making, Repairing, Improving.

Mages have an idea of how things work and good natural insight and instincts, they feel bad when the world around them doesn’t change as they’ve seen or fits their predicted vision. They’re teachers, they Know and Guide, they perform Miracles with their knowledge.

I guess the Sylphs have rich inner worlds with their own dreams and thoughts, and Mages have nice insight and a view of the world, which was what you were asking about difference-wise? But there’s quite a lot of differences, they don’t even fall in the same Passive/Active alignment.
