ive seen you do some of these, and i really love your interpretations of godtier abilities. if you dont mind doing another one, what sort of things do you think a mage of mind would be able to do?
Thank you! Really, as I said, I’m just taking the explanations I wrote for the Quiz based on @revolutionaryduelist‘s interpretations, and thinking what they would be most proficient at.
Now, Mages and Seers are similar enough to have some overlap with Terezi’s powers, the ability to know the Choices they have taken and the outcomes of the Choices they will take is a good starting point for a Mage of Mind! However, where Terezi’s vision was concerned with outcomes regarding her friends ending dead and how she was supposed to stop this from happening, or guiding John to fix the mess of a Timeline they were in, a Mage’s vision would be more concerned with Choices that affect their own personal outcome and influence their lives.
They may also be able to see past someone’s facade, lies told by someone and fabricated personalities would crumble before them, as they find out their true intent. Also, being more adept at Miracles than Seers are, if you put the example of Terezi, rather than sending John to fix the Timeline with their guide, they would’ve went fix the Timeline themselves, if possible.
They may be even more susceptible to having a falling out from grace and dwelling in their mistakes than Terezi, though, the immutability of the world around her, of the Timeline, really fucked her riiiiiiight up, and Mages are prone to being even more volatile like this. They’d try to see the Third Choice, they’d try with all their might to lead their path the way they want, the way it should be, and be devastated when the Timeline proves, once again, that it’s completely unfair and dickish to the people just trying to live their lives.
