Since its been told, or if not heavily implied and advised that at least 1 Space player and 1 Knight of blank are required to normally play Sburb in its real form, with an evolving battlefield and prototyping and frog breeding to create the Ultimate reward, what in your opinion would be the most and least optimal classpect choices for a "normal" and viable 2 player session where victory was achieveable?
While Karkat did also help Kanaya with the Frog Breeding, as ‘Servers’ it’s kind of what they do best. It’s not explicitly been said that a Knight specifically is needed, but Terezi does mention a Seer and a Knight being quite the powerful combination, so I may go for that when it comes to Classes. For Aspects though, of course, it needs to be Space and Time. The Space Player brings the Forge, performs the Frog Breeding… While the Time Player brings has Hephaestus, which will then light the Forge, a necessary step to begin the Frog Breeding, and to ultimately blast the Genesis Tadpole into Skaia.
It’s things like these that put the game’s impossibility into perspective, how ‘most Sessions are Void’. Like, if you lack one of those two Aspects? Screwed. One of your players didn’t live near a huge volcano? Welp, screwed. What’s that, did one of you accidentally not prototype anything? Screwed. And then even if the entry went completely fine and everything is in order, just pray you can actually beat the bosses, no agents go rogue and try to fuck things up, you recover the Queen’s Rings safely, the Reckoning isn’t too short, and there’s no other glitch or mess-up of any other sort.
What I’m trying to say is, SBURB is the Dark Souls of Creation Myths.
