Hussie was making a joke that 48 Squiddles made the Trolls’ Universe, and the Squiddles are sort of a manifestation of the residual memory of the Horrorterrors printed upon Humanity, buuuuut we actually have no idea if he was just messing around or if there really are 48 Squishy Squid Gods somewhere in the Alternian Universe.

As for where they are though? Given Universes are, after all, product of the game? That’s a good question. Alternia has a 48-symbol Zodiac, implying a 48 Player Session, but we never see anything like that. It’s possible that whatever Gods and Rulers there were on the Session, they died Justly or Heroically a long time ago, or perhaps they are still somewhere around the Universe, just not on Alternia. That being said it should also be noted the original version of the Universe was the Alpha Trolls’, Beforus, and we know veeeeery little about it, so who knows what was going down with squishy tentacle monsters over there.
