Kind of a weird question, but did people seriously think Gamzee had reached God tier in the past? I came into Homestuck pretty late.

For the longest time it was hard to tell if Gamzee had reached God Tier or not. He showed no signs of having ascended, but he was notoriously difficult to kill and did some things that made no sense, and Karkat himself expresses confusion about his God Tierhood at some point I believe. Then we saw him with a God Tier Outfit in the Alpha Session and everyone was like “WHAT?!”. But then we saw Kurloz getting him the Codpiece, and Caliborn shoot off his wings, confirming that he did in fact not Ascend, he’s just a moron in a silly outfit.

So yeah, until those wings came off, there were both theories about Gamzee being God Tier, and Gamzee faking his God Tierhood.
