In terms of player planets, would the themes of the planet generally be things the player struggles with to accept/work with or such? Or is it possible for the planet to be someplace the player can enjoy being in? On that note would it be possible for a rage players planet to be someplace they enjoy being in that is fundamentally flawed and thus needs to be broken down to allow them to grow and continue their session?
Some Lands seem specifically designed to mess with the Players and push them out of their Comfort Zone, but then you also have something like Nepeta’s Land, which doesn’t seem specifically challenging towards her. It all comes down to their Quests, however, Lands and Quests seem to be designed, not to specifically push Players through something they Struggle with, but as an attempt to hone their skills and positive traits. For example, Rose’s Land seemed designed to make her step out of her grim comfort zone and just kind of become invested in a colorful and bright world- Which fails tremendously as she’s, if anything, spited by this. Dave on the other hand is directly and rather aggressively attacked with triggers of his- Metallic noises, an endless sea of Red, the searing heat, it’s like an amplification of everything that tortured him back on Earth. And then you have Jade, who is PHYSICALLY cast out of her comfort zone, not because she doesn’t enjoy her Land but because she literally has no warm clothes and needs to alchemize stuff to get around- Once that hurdle is crossed, I don’t think Jade had any issues with her Land.
So as I said, it depends on what the Game expects out of each Player and what said Players think of themselves and their Quests- The Quests aren’t even an assured way to make them Grow, nor the only way they can grow as people either, as we see with Rose. So as for your Rage Player? Yeah it may be a flawed place they enjoy. They may also ignore their Quest and keep enjoying it, or find a way to grow beyond their toxic behavior without the need of a Quest.
