What's all this about "multiple souls in Lord English"? I thought LE was just a grown-up Caliborn after he finished his dead session and got immortality from his Denizen. Could you please give us an in-order personal timeline of each component of LE and how they all come together?

It would help understanding what Lord English is in the first place, because you know what? We only ever get a single proper image of Lord English’ True Form. Are you ready? Are you ready??

That’s Lord English. Now let me explain- During the Masterpiece, Gamzee is cut in half by Dirk’s Sword, arguably, and then Caliborn is snatched by ARquius when no one is looking. With this act of self-sacrifice, Caliborn is left open for Dirk to rip his Soul and stuff it into the Lil Cal Caliborn has been carrying around all this time…

Except he’s not the only thing to be stuffed into Lil Cal. There’s ARquius, and there’s half of Gamzee. Caliborn is the main component of Lord English, yes- But he appears as a manifestation of the tenacious mix of souls stuffed into Lil Cal and banished into the Furthest Ring. Every iteration of Lord English, even the ‘main one’, is just that. An Iteration of Lord English. Born from that single Puppet.

Lord English is absolutely Immortal, not just because with Yaldabaoth’s Boon his ‘main’ body so to speak is unkillable, but also, because he’s not the only English out there. Lord Jack? That’s Lord English as well. Possessing Jack’s body, but manifesting his very Soul, his Essence, his Power. He’s not any less Lord English than Big Buffskull himself. So, the main, Immortal body that is Buffskull English is smacked into the Breach, collapsing him forever within a Black Hole, and Paradox Space is destroyed to ensure every last remnant of his Soul goes with him, dragging that Lil Cal Doll in the Furthest Ring deeper into the abyss of nothingness, where it cannot arise as Nightmares in any Universe ever again. That’s the only way he can truly know defeat.

Lord English is more of a ‘presence’ living inside of a Lil Cal Doll in the Furthest Ring, and manifesting through all of reality, as Lil Cal, as Doc Scratch, as Jack English, not just Buffskull English. But that aside, the main Soul within Cal is Caliborn, with half of Gamzee…

And a healthy dose of ARquius…
