so could a Mage of Hope be the type of person who's parents forced them into religious stuff but they despise it and are curious about why people believe in gods and knows how to make people believe in things and the ins and outs of Hope?

Yeah, I don’t see why not! Although do remember Hope is Belief and Faith by itself, Religious stuff falls into it but it’s not ALL Religious stuff. Still, yeah that’d work for a Mage of Hope.
