Hussie has confirmed and expressed that much of Homestuck's characters' physical traits (height, skin tone, etc. like as you said) are up to personal headcanons. He also changed specific race connotations for Bro!Dirk and Trickster!Jane, but he never changed the descriptions for the kids during John's ectobiology experience. They were all called pink and Roxy and Rose were referred to as blond. Do you think he just forgot to change it or wld it be definite canon descriptions for the kids?

He most definitely surely forgot to change or just went like ‘screw it’, the authorial intent is there even though his own headcanons still slip through from time to time.

I should also point out Hussie did NOT change the Trickster Jane ‘Caucasian’ because of backlash about the race thing, and rather he did it because there was a section of the Fandom genuinely being shitty and racist using the Caucasian thing maliciously.
