How would one become signless

The Signless is the Signless because he was an uncharted Mutant Blood born from a mutation of the already weird Lime Caste, and raised by a Troll instead of a Lusus. He was an outlaw all of his life basically, he should’ve died in the Caverns but Dolorosa took pity on him.
