Is quadrant vacillation between pale and ashen (or other pairs) a thing, or only between flushed and caliginous?

I mean, between other pairs like Red and Pale or even Red and Black could definitely be, but Ashen seems like a Quadrant that’s not specifically exclusive? It’s making sure two other people don’t like, fuck each other up, so you could be Red with someone, but also be their Auspistice between them and their Kismesis.
