I’ve been trying to think about the Retcon’s positives, but I can only come up with the fulfillment of John’s quest. For the most part it just ruined s lot of character development and the story could’ve been concluded with out summarizing 3 years of character development in a single, sub 5 minute flash. Especially with (Vriska)! Her development and inspirational quote basically lost any relevancy or importance.

Refer to the posts I’ve made about Fandom Misconceptions, the lead-up to the ending, and the ending itself. I personally feel this is a huge misreading of the canon.
