Karkat an co. are the alpha trolls and Meenah and co. are the beta trolls, right?

‘Beta and Alpha’ have no meaning for the Trolls given that their version of SBURB, that is, SGRUB, wasn’t a game made by a company that dubbed it as Alpha or Beta, they made it themselves and sort of just played it. That being said, if you’re talking about ‘Beta’ as in the Beta Kids being the biological offspring of the Alphas, it’s implied Karkat’s group were the original, and Meenah’s the mix. Name-wise, however, the Dancestors are referred as the ‘Alphas’, arguably because they came first.
