That's my biggest apprehension about Ascending, being doomed to purgatory, even if it is for the greater good.

If you Die and manage to get there in time, it’s worth a shot at the very least, but intentionally taking your life to Ascend… It’s really a heavy question. Is it worth it? Is it necessary? The risks entailed, the split of your being, the loss of a life.
