why do people get super edgy about how the epilogue's never coming out and we're all sheeple for still thinking it will even though hussie said outright that he was working on it with viz media and he's clearly still been involved with viz media

Because there’s an insane amount of dumb hatred towards Hussie and the Homestuck Ending still. Not even the Ending, but Act 6 in general. Some people still genuinely believe that Hussie stopped caring about the story beyond Act 5 or that he didn’t add anything meaningful or symbolic intentionally and it all was ‘for the aesthetic/coolness of it’, with ‘no deeper meaning’. This train of thought either stems FROM them disliking the ending, or leads TO them disliking the ending, and feeds to an already unhealthy, obsessive hatred of Hussie for no good reason because fuck Homestuck I guess, and ultimately feeds into the whole climate of pessimism and doomsaying the Fandom’s had for years now.
