if a person went through a bad enough life experience, could that change their class? for example, if someone innately more active in personality had a traumatic experience, could they fall into a more passive mindset and change classes to their counterpart? or in these situations, do you think people would retain their innate class, and simply act in a way that appears more passive at least temporarily, similar to the classpect swings that sometimes happen in canon (like with kanaya and gamzee)

In reality, there may be a shift like that, but according to Homestuck, there’s an innate ‘you’ with certain tendencies that always leans towards a single Classpect. That being said, it’s also likely if SBURB were real, your Classpect would have always been the Classpect that’d fit you better after the life-changing experience.
