I have read some of your homestuck essay and it got me thinking that homestuck (and a little bit of hiveswap) might not make for a good animated show. Thats not to say that it can't be animated because there are a lot of astounding animated scenes throughout homestuck, I'm just saying that the whole of homestuck would not work as an animated series because of the author reader interaction that is through Act 1.

I think it would most definitely work, but you’d have to do something special with the medium. Like, have fake commercial pauses where Andrew Hussie himself acts out he’s selling you some horse figurines.  Have stuff happen on like, the black border periphery of a fake, forced resolution. Homestuck on Webcomic is made to be like a game- So make Homestuck on Series be like a movie, instead of Hussie as the Author, you have Hussie as the Director, and the Lands and such are sets that you occasionally see beyond. Caliborn literally walks off-stage, punches Hussie in the face and grabs his script.
