so based off of hiveswap, we can determine that a psionic's powers come from the eyes, right? but being blinded doesn't damage it? gouging does, though? how's that work

Well, when Sollux used his Psionics while blind, his body died from the exertion of propelling the Meteor. Cirava says they gouged their eye out, but that does not explain the yellow scars on their face! It seems likely that Psionics don’t come from the eyes, but rather they’re channelled through- And without an eye or blinded, the Psionic Discharge is uncontrolled enough to harm the brain. Therefor, it’s not that Cirava is unable to use their Psionics- Is that using them would literally fry their brain. That’s my Headcanon at least.
