Yeah i’ve always thought since Cirava’s route that psionics have their powers connected to their brain, so when they gouged out their eye, it broke their psionic circuitry, so their powers won’t be very stable, or effective at all. Like a wire that’s been cut.

‘A wire that’s been cut’ sounds like a good way to describe it. Faulty, but not completely removed, may catch on fire if you let it do its thing.
