I was wondering if you had any good, honest critiques of homestuck? So many critiques come from lack of understanding. I would love to hear your take. Not just the bad, but the good as well! (story and structure wise, etc)

It’s hard to critique Homestuck, because it takes from so many different things, and at the same time, it’s weirdly unique. What do you compare it to? Do you go section by section and see how each part of it holds up individually? Do you take it all as a whole? Narratively speaking, Homestuck has a solid base and foundation of what it wants to be, and it sticks to it. Hussie in general gets more inclusive and open as the story goes on too, and it shows in the themes he explores later on.

There’s a lot of positive and negative you can take from Homestuck, but if I had to distil the Best and the Worst of it… I would say from a totally Blind perspective, the worst part of Homestuck may be its length- A lot of people are put-off by the behemoth that is Homestuck. The best, though, is definitely its depth. Character-wise and Story-wise, the longer you stick, the more you start to find little things that connect together and make sense of other things.
