i... am not sure that i understand the difference between seers and mages that well. i know they can overlap, but what is the main difference between them? i know seers tend to get their info from outside sources, i.e. books, other people, etc but does that mean mages just naturally know stuff? do they not read? i consider myself to be very passive (despite being derse haha) but i'm also very introspective and at this point i'm just very confused. any input would be helpful, please

Mages and Seers are one of the hardest Classes to put into words because Knowing and Guiding is kind of naturally a passive action, so Actively Knowing is hard to put into words. That being said, there’s a few ways you can define it. For example, you can go with the idea that Seers are more about using their Knowledge to Tell, while Mages use their Knowledge to Show- Seers being more Theoretical, and Mages more Practical. You could also go with the Active/Passive divide- With Seers using their power to benefit others mainly, while Mages use their power to benefit themselves, mainly. This last one is a bit too vague a lot of the time though. So the usual divide is that they lean towards the two things Prophets are known to do- Seers for the Prophecies themselves, and Mages for the Miracles they perform. There’s nuance like with everything, they may do one or another, but the tendencies are kinda there.
