are muses and lords really that special of a class? or could you just as well be a muse in a normal session without any special circumstances? i feel like the comic really made both out to be extremely rare classes that only get assigned to players as an exception, kind of

Muses and Lords are special and rare, but I don’t think that means they shouldn’t appear in normal Sessions or be used in Fantrolls- But they are Classes that, in a story, will likely shape or showcase something big regarding the narrative.

Consider, for example, the theory of Boldir and Marvus being a Muse and a Lord- They’re nowhere near as influential as Calliope and Caliborn are, but Boldir has really shaped the MSPA Reader’s way of seeing the world around them, and ever since their encounter they’ve started to recall events of Bad End Timelines, and the story has been getting more and more Meta. Similarly, Marvus held back the collapse of a Doomed Timeline on his own, and showed both a medium awareness and a knowledge of the mechanics of Paradox Space only seen in Alt Calliope and Squared Sprites.

So if these two totally random Trolls in Outglut can pull off something like this, why couldn’t your Fantroll in a Fansession be a Muse or a Lord?
