Can you tell us more about roleplay theory?
@revolutionaryduelist Has gone quite in depth about it in the past, but the gist of it is that ancestral figures and guardians heavily affect the way characters act, and shape their Class and Aspect at certain points. It’s not even the actual character’s Class and Aspect either, but their perceived Class and Aspect.
For example, take Vriska, who, for a huge part of her arc, is influenced by Mindfang. She tries to improve Tavros, make him more relevant, better, while trying to match the romance Mindfang had with the Summoner, tries to be like a Sylph. Or for example, Rose feels regret about her mother and wants to get to know her better, be closer to her, which leads her to drinking. Booze is explicitly Void coded, and sure, Grimdarkness with the Horrorterrors being Void-Coded also could have had part of it, but you could explain a lot of Rose’s Void leaning and Void Magics and communion with the Eldritch Gods to her trying to get closer to her Mother as well.
Dirk is often compared to a Knight and Knighthood, even though he’s a Prince, but he struggles heavily with his self and not wanting to give in to his bad traits, and it seems trying to follow in Alpha Dave’s steps is a way in which he attempts that. You can find this in a lot of characters, if not most of them, and it’s EXTREMELY obvious in Hiveswap where all the Characters have their own Aspects, but heavily show traits of their Caste’s Aspect as well, influenced by the way society pegs them into very specific roles.
