A sketch I’ve been working on and off over the past few days, in between rounds of incessantly playing Ocarina of Time 3D(!) on my brand new 3DS.
Demon Road Zelda in her desert garb. I simplified things a bit. I know she hasn’t appeared in the story yet, but she already looks really awesome. And it’s nice to see Zelda not so pristine and ‘untouchable’ for a change.
HOOOLY SHIT. /WHEEZE
THIS IS AMAZING. Seriously, I’m in awe. This is so gorgeous, I’m really really happy. Thank you so much! This really made me feel so much better ;_; I was having such a rough few days and this is.. well. I love it. ;; You made her look so elegant, even in desert travel-y clothes. Aaahhh fjhsajghasfh <333
Am I allowed to put this on the website?

Finally, done the lines, sweet jaysus. I never expected this image to be so time consuming,… there’s a reason I never do images like this digitally, but this was very refreshing and a good brush up on inking.
It’s Llev! being all.. booky. You won’t be able to see his freckles till the colour version, but he’s got plenty of ‘em. If I didn’t mention before, this is his new, revisited version. He’s all ordinary and human looking, much to his dismay.
As much of a pain in the ass this pic was, I’d love to do portraits of Llev’s entire family– Felix, Tak, Meph, Red, Yhihre, Sai, Makura, Baal… and maybe Levistus, but I dunno if he counts, being so far removed.

This is the kid!Zelda design redbeanviolin has been working on for Demon Road:
This one doesn’t get a full turn around and layer break down like my link messenger uniform reff does because this design is not finished and we are unsure if we are keeping it as young zelda’s “princess dress” outfit.
We where trying to go for something completely our own in this one for our Zelda world like we’ve been doing so far but trying to keep it recognizable as “princess” zelda. Then again, Skyward Sword took everything recognizable about zelda except for her hair and eye colour and threw it out the window so… maybe we’re just over thinking this.
Most of the inspiration for this outfit calls back to the A Link to the Past and Twilight Princess designs with the silhouette of Orical of Seasons/Ages Zelda without wanting to add a cape.
The design on the front of the dress is definitely still in production. The biggest thing we both hate about the zelda designs is the obnoxious fuschia and baby pink combo that somehow survived the OoT era to plague zelda for the rest of her lives so we did away with that. It’s not coming back.
We’d love to get your thoughts and crit on the design or the direction we’ve taken it as another zelda fan.
