i think truckbed swimming pools would be super common on pandora if there were resources for it. just put a tarp in the back of a technical, dump some water in and boom. cool down on the go as youre driving through the desert.

ooh fun question. ive got two theories.
the first is probably the canon explanation, he just followed athena and janey to pandora after life on elpis became unsustainable. theres a finite amount of resources left after the crackening, and the place is only going to fall apart further in the coming years. eventually he’s gotta cut his losses.
lucky for him, hes already got a friend on pandora that knows how to make a proper space ship. so hes gets out of there alright.
and the second idea is funner but also just Did Not Happen. he was involved with hyperion’s attack against pandora. not as any kind of combatant, but as a prodigy in tech and (to me, anyway) exposure to guardian/eternal tech out of proximity to the lost legion, he wouldve been valuable as an engineer.
jack hires him during the course of TPS, keeps him around after he takes over helios, and he gets involved with the loader takeover and vault project on pandora. and since no one Really Feels Great about killing a kid over the war he just kind of gets away with it. which is fair anyways because its not like a ~14 year old really has the mental awareness or responsibility for what hyperion was doing. and he didnt have much of an alternative because again. elpis had kind of gone to shit.
he still ends up living with athena and janey, though. whatever hes doin on pandora, hes doing it with them.
thinking abttt. sofia going to boston to look for a version of juno that doesnt exist anymore, only to find two more warped reflections of him instead.
the first being the in memories of the people who knew him - maccready, maxson, dr. li, kellogg, which should be her juno, or at least something close, but it isnt. they all remember a different version of him, and none of them are anything close to her husband.
and the second is minnie, juno’s synth replica, who is the closest that sofia will ever get to who her husband used to be, and at the same time, is entirely her own person.
something something that version of juno is gone because sofia herself is a different person now, and perceives him in a different light, not just because he changed. and shes been chasing someone that doesnt exist for the past decade.
I think we need more Harlowe hype. Like ive rarely ever loved a character who isnt even out yet as much as i love her. Shes so cute and whimsical this is how i die i fear /pos
