I can’t be the only one who feels… Weird about the fact that BL3 basically retcons Tannis’s interest in Vault science being her own choice and instead gives the credit to Typhon, who allegedly inspired her. It feels lowkey sexist from a Doylist standpoint.

yeah. yeah. and if they like. Had to connect her to some other character leda is right there. she was the actual scientist between her and typhon to begin with, so it makes sense that she would be her idol. itd be leda’s research papers she’d be learning from, and then that cycle continues with anu learning from tannis.

some aspiring VHs looking up to typhon yeah sure who gaf. but tannis?? so dumb,,,

All of this, and it also disregards how in Borderlands 1, she was the one who pioneered Eridian tech studies in the first place. Her life’s goal in that game was to find that vault so she could have concrete proof that the eridians were not only real but that she understood them enough to have decoded several of the things they’ve left behind. She literally got kidnapped BY Atlas because she knew so much about vaults when there was such a scarcity of information. Did they forget or.

Actually nevermind because Typhon exists in such an atemporal context in Borderlands as a series just in general. You’re telling me he already found all the vaults by the time Borderlands 2 was happening, had kids with a siren queen, went into hiding, and ALSO had time for those kids to grow up into adult cult leaders who take over pandora overnight? Fuck off. You’re telling me he already found the first vault that the Borderlands 1 cast struggled to find between corporate interference and just in general hardships on Pandora, but they had to go find it again? ?? Fuck yourself !!!

[Shrek image] They’re not even following the timeline.

this was infinitely funnier in my head.
