homeless trans woman living in an unsanitary nightmare :(
hi everyone im pretty well known around here. i’ve been homeless for about a year and two months now, and i’m working on it really hard.
i am currently working with an NGO towards recognition of my refugee status, which will give me healthcare access and other important human rights which i have not had in nearly a decade.
unfortunately, to access this NGO, i have to live in a gross inner city food desert. i live in the cheapest hotel available and eat one meal a day. the floor is sticky with unsealed paint, the nearest toilet has been clogged with human shit for two days, and i’m “not allowed” to have alcohol because the owner is an evangelical, so my beer cans are piling up because i have to dispose of them stealthily in the dead of night
although this is the right step overall and i’m excited to have legal status, i’m very depressed because of my disgusting living conditions. the room smells like dead rats and so do i even though i shower three times a day.
can people donate me money so i can afford to move into a real apartment once i have status?
