its so easy for me to think abt the VHs groups as friends throughout the series except for TPS. by week 2 on elpis i think the women in the group would have eaten timothy for protein.

goddd i wish that we got to see the crimson raiders in their prime, back when pierce was still leading. instead we just go from a town of civilians in BL1 to a town of refugees in BL2.
like its genuinely shocking to me that even a decade after the game came out we dont know exactly what happened during the raid on new haven.
the toy that balex was put into wasnt just the same brand as angels childhood bear, it was also one of her toys that had simply gotten left behind on montys ship when she was a toddler. i know this bc i was there. btw.
honestly tps is so so close to being my favorite borderlands game like i just wish it was a little Different.
i wish angel had a more prevalent role in the game, especially in the claptrap dlc. it feels very jarring to not have her leading the VHs and theres not really a reason for her not to be.
the greys in the environment get a little monotonous after a while, even helios loses its luster a few playthroughs in. concordia could have been more fleshed out. i never felt a connection to it as the central town of the game and more just like ‘this is where moxxi and janey are’.
and my BIGGEST gripe is just how little information we have about the lost legion in general. the main enemy faction of the game and we know nothing. we hardly know what zarpedon was fighting for, and we know nothing at all about her relationship to the watcher. AND THE ETERNALS (!!!!).
sadly i really think the writers just paid no attention to the surrounding worldbuilding of TPS. all of the emphasis kind of just went on it being the jack backstory game and nothing really lasted outside of that.

at some point it also adopted she/her pronouns to feel more connected to them as well. it wants sisters </3.
tbh i think my most unpopular borderlands opinion is that ava should have blamed the player for maya’s death. forget lilith, the VHs were Right There when maya died.
thinking abt. sirens being sacrificed to their vault monsters.
nyriad locking herself away for feeding the destroyer, and steele being eaten by it hundreds of years later. angel dying to stop the warrior and then lilith taking her place. maya dying just feet away from the rampager’s corpse.
troy and tyreen both dying to open the great vault. the destroyer coming back Again through tyreen merging with it. and lilith leaving the raiders to move elpis away from pandora. just born to die for something bigger.
