The Gameworld Trilogy by Samit Basu is something that I’m always pretty surprised that not more people have read (but I think I heard that it’s out of print now, so jthrkje that might explain why). The world in the trilogy is based off of mythology from around the world, while also parodying so many different things, I can’t even name them all. It’s pretty ridiculous but also really good.

Anyways, Kirin is one of the protagonists! He is a pretty cool dude. Kirin is actually 200+ years old and had spent much of that time as a stone statue, and the only reason he got better was because someone stepped on him some years ago. Whoops.

Originally I was going to draw either Homura from Madoka Magica or Yuri from Shadow Hearts or hey original characters! None of these happened. I promise I will draw something besides b&w profiles with smoke! sometime soon.

I was doing a bunch of picture+text responses to questions about my characters over on my personal tumblr! Hillary asked how Hook and Momenti met, and I felt like doing a dumb little comic.

She also asked how Hook became a cannibal. But. Welp.

I drew a young!Winter and an older/present!Winter for another response, and finally she is looking more like how I imagine. Sweeeeet.

Started drawing one thing, ended up with something completely different.

Everyone is drawing Rule 63 Dragon Age characters! And it is wonderful.

To be honest, I don’t see much physical difference between m!Merrill or f!Merrill (beyond the obvious). I thought she was pretty androgynous!

All attempts to draw m!Isabela (aka Isabelo) resulted in either Captain Jack Sparrow or the Prince from Prince of Persia ‘08. I figured I should just cut my losses and run with one of them.

(Pose based off of this kind of horrible DA2 promo image of really white-washed Isabela)

I like using color, but b&w is my first love.

I was dicking around and then suddenly there were things on my screen. Hello, things.
