Hi i love your art and headcanons a lot! The game hit me hard cuz my (ex) childhood best friend and i had a similar situation that ended with a falling out. They were also diagnosed schizophrenic and portrayed a lot of the same symptoms. The friendship is not something i would like to go back to, but your art makes me feel... nostalgic? miss them? idk... anyways tdlr love seeing very specific things i can relate to and your art is really good thank you 👍
Hiya—thanks a lot for tellin’ me, pal. I opened Tumblr and I for sure wasn’t expecting to see a post like this but man it really does feel nice to know that the stuff on here is able to hit you hard. I mean, that’s what I’m going for here, right? A lot of the stuff I draw is mostly to show things like, the experience in someone’s head—mine, mostly—but keep it vague enough to not only leave people wondering, wanting for more, but also to be able to understand and relate to it—honestly, I never considered the idea of someone else who was there alongside the ride that comes with being that kind of person, y'know, their psyche beaten and bruised, and being reminded of them.
While I’m aware that things like this could potentially cause a lot of harm towards the people around them—I mean, look at what you’re telling me here, that experience of yours is not something ya wanna go back to. And it’s like, y'know, I get it. I do. I myself have found me perpetuating that harm. It can be difficult, it can be very frustrating, and usually I end up using characters like Jim or Jack help cope and hopefully get others to understand what it’s like for people like me.
