Tales is back on sale yeahhhh! Gortys!

A few quick things I noticed when I tried updating to the new version on Steam:

• it comes with a new shaders file, and does change the game’s appearance in places. The new version (bottom image) looked more contrasty and metallic to me. It felt noticeable on things like Rhys’s bump mapping, some scenery, etc.
  
• I hit a weird graphical bug with the caravan blocking part of Fiona and Felix in Fiona’s intro.
  
• While the update recognised the chapters in my old save files (in My Documents/Telltale Games), after rolling back to my backup I noticed that the old version of TFTBL could not read new saves created by the new update, or generate a new chapter file in the slot used by the new update.
  
• The app I used to use to view the Tales textures didn’t work with the update.
  
• Oh yeah, and it has the new Gearbox ident the same as BL3
  

Anyway, off to make more of my scifi mates play Tales…
