It’s November, and I’m going to try the whole ‘one bit of art per day’ thing (with ‘art’ defined as ‘whatever the hell I can manage.’ Likelihood of giving up is quite high, but hell lets give it a whirl again in the name of making it through the month. Kicking things off with some Vallory.

Day two and I’m already making 11pm desperation doodles :P
A hasty doodle of how Moze feels when I make her put down her perfectly tuned setup and get out That Bloody Gun. Mashing sushi against the sights, which is how I imagine the reloading process works.

Day 3 of November drawing challenge, and I went drawing in BL2. I’ve always wanted to draw the vault environment in BL2 because it’s so beautifully designed. Usual rules applied (have to fight my way there, hold my position, and draw ‘live’ with the daylight) but the vault is an almost unchanging environment once you fight the Warrior. The only big changes were Elpis turning, a few splashes of lava, and the pouring smoke.
Ended up including the version without Helios :P I just thought it looked interesting.

November art challenge day 4 is a sort of Jackisha bookmark thing. Not happy with some of it but… ‘tis done, my day’s thingy has been achieved, and I am free to go and play BL3!
A few more weeks of this…soon true desperation will set it and I’ll be making ‘art’ out of strategically nibbled bits of toast at two minutes to midnight.

Day 5 NOBODY SAID IT HAD TO BE GOOD ART. NOBODY SAID THAT.
AI Jack is disgusted Rhys sleeps almost 8hrs per day.

Day 6. The hollow laughter of someone who forgot how hard it is finding the energy to do this every day, and is staring down the barrel of 11pm again.

Day 7. Mood.

Day 8. Who was it who liked older Rhack? Oh yeh, me.
Post Cyber CEOs AU: tfw you had a super cool idea, but it’d take too long to explain to loser Atlas boyfriend ‘cause he refuses to ditch the meat bottleneck. Also he told you not to call it 'the meat bottleneck.’
(Sequel to a story that exists only in my head and my shameful google docs files. AU where AI Jack conquered Helios after meat Jack died, and Rhys is running the shredded corpse of Atlas via advanced cybernetics. He goes to Helios cyber-naked and eats a mango. Its a thing.)
[Putting these here to bring the AU all into one tag: https://sf-bl.tumblr.com/tagged/cyber%20ceos mostly Rhack, totally out-of-sequence]

Day 9, and … I actually finished a bunch of images today. I had to choose one, so I’m selecting this long-abandoned WIP that I knocked into shape. It’s kind of ‘Cyber CEOs - the Mutually Assured Destruction Years’.

Day 10 further AU business. Rhys failed to tell Fiona a teeny tiny little bit of vital information about the thing they’re doing, like where’s Hyperion all of a sudden while they’re smashing all the Hyperion tech they can lay their hands on.

Day 11. I had the tired sads today, so the art-a-day gets a really angry swan, and I get an early night.

Day 12: yet more Cyber AU doings: TFW you had to [Trust Jack] to get you out of a sticky life-or-death situation, and he 100% did. Maybe had to take a few shortcuts. But, you know, the view from the dirt’s pretty good. This Is Fine.

Day 13: Conspiracy Theory Meme image of me explaining my weird theories about the SciFi narrative game Heaven’s Vault and Borderlands 3. I’ve tried to keep this vague to avoid actual plot spoilers, but there are lore spoilers in the image so don’t look too hard. ;)
Also, I know I go on about this but … please, Heaven’s Vault is so good. It’s good in ways that are very hard to explain without spoiling the rich lore and history that you uncover. If you could somehow crush BL and HV together so that I could explore the past of the Borderlands universe just as HV reveals itself (through words, traces, paths, and tragedies) I would be in SciFi narrative gaming heaven.

Day 14: Went back to Eleseer, and drew ‘til I got tired. The Guardians respawned, but couldn’t find Tim crouched behind the medvac: A true pro at Extreme Hide & Seek.
I’ve rarely paused to look at this location in detail, and only noticed the red/blue thing and the different star temperatures when I sat down to draw. There’s so much here!

Day 15: Still on Elpis, drawing the views while BL1 is reinstalling. I like how Pandora came out.
Kind of tired and depressed now at the halfway point, but I want to finish this challenge.
(If you visit this location in-world, you will spot a high degree of ‘artistic license’ aka making stuff up in the rock outlines here. Also some structures have magically vanished.)

Day 16: Got a cat prompt, and ended up doing … a different cat prompt.
(I’m an agender nerd who roams the earth with a massive backpack covered in badges and junk, so I feel bad that I didn’t bother to draw Fl4k’s backpack. Pockets are love.)

Day 17: BS rhack AU ‘cause I’m sad and wanted Trivial Villainy.
Someone tried to take over Helios with a failed pen tester they found trapped in a Roomba. It’s the start of something beautiful…or at least really funny when those guys see them making out above the spike pit.

Day 18: left it really late today and have some other drawings on the boil, so sketchy thing visiting the Eridian Promontory near the Vault in #Borderlands. I brought my Eridian sausage gun rifle, but the Guardians mostly left me to my sketching.

Day 20: Just a normal day, fighting … uh… that thing.

Day 21: Rhack thing that would be made with way more care but I don’t dare sit any longer. Spines are cancelled.
Day 22: pain continues to be painful, so deploying an Emergency Skag
Day 24 was doodled in the hospital waiting room, ‘cause it turned out I exploded a disc in my spine while drawing Jackisha. This is an artist’s impression of Jack and Nisha beating up my nerves. It’s not as fun as it looks.
Day 27: quick pic imagining Hyperion founder Alma Harren in her war and murder for hire days.

Day 28: still trying to sketch without overdoing the sitting. #BL3
Me: when it’s Pride day on Promethea, the whole gang can go together, like a family - Atlas HQ is just tumbleweed.
Me: …
Me: That tumbleweed is also late for Pride.
