Its my firm belief that Anton Sokolov has a really good photographic memory*, but he generally doesnt want people to know… And that he usually just wants to pick his subjects brains while painting them, or hear some gossip…
*One might ask.. But werent cameras in dishonored universe invented a few years later by Kirin Jindosh?…Realistically, and for the sake of the visual gag, there had to be some types of camera obscura like optic devices even before Jindosh silvergraph…There is a whole damn projector in DH1.
** Also, I don’t think that Daud was searching for immortality per se… Its just great way to dismiss Sokolov. (Refusing his ideas n doing things your way)
