Hello! How many years have you been drawing until you were on a level, you felt confident? c:
It depends on what you define as ‘feeling confident’.
The idea of ‘getting to a high level’ as an artist is vague with an illusion of locked-in guarantee that every drawing will turn out great when you get to that ‘level’. Don’t forget that a highly skilled artist can still create a bad drawing.
To me, feeling confident is more about knowing you can make mistakes and not letting it get to your work as much as you can because you know you can improve upon it.
So in that sense I can’t directly answer your question because it’s not a constant state I’ve gotten to but rather something that I remind myself for every new work I face.
Regardless of your skill level, fear is normal and every mistake is an opportunity to make you grow as an artist.
