Was the new glider tested on charr? I don’t think it was tested on charr xD
I mean, sure, especially to an elementalist, the pitch had to sound so sweet: “Fall from the sky on a flaming meteor!*”
But just like always, expectation and reality insist on not talking to one another and argue bitterly every time they’re in the same room, and so you end with a flaming pile of rock to teeter on. x)
* while balancing on it like you’re about to fall over because you drank with your warband last night and can’t keep standing straight to save your life.
I was lazing around some Guild Wars channels earlier today and eavesdropped/waltzed into a conversation on Orrian architecture. The general consensus was basically how Orr is such a gorgeous place from architectonic point of view – the scale is amazing, the giant arches go all the way to the sky…
… but then someone finds a charr hair somewhere, tableflips the entire island and sinks it into the sea, because they’re great in architecture, but kinda stupid when it comes to reality.
I pointed out how that would look nice on an ad poster… and it sort of snowballed from there.
For a while, I wanted to do several things: do a proper painting, do a picture with something glowy, do a badass elementalist shifting and fusing rocks about, and draw my old-as-dirt charr mage, Nallthar. Then, ANet released teasers of the Sand Jackal…
Don’t mind me, just stashing a reference sheet somewhere I can easilly access it from later.
I put together this guide to my smolmesmer a while back for a giant commission you’re bound to hear about sooner or later (mostly when the artist starts moaning in despair…). Out of all my charr, she’s the teenage brat. And nutball I have to draw more often.
