hey everyone. i want a share a story about how i got into mass effect
I actually played ME1 for the first time in april 2017. obviously it is very well-known series and i was hearing things about it for years. i watched mrBtongue`s videos about the ending controversy long before actually playing the games.
idk i guess i never played it because i dont care about 3rd person shooters and i wasnt interested in bioware games in general. back then i played like 7 hours of dragon age origins in 2012 and thats it. also for the long time i was waaaay into Dark Souls and thought that all story-heavy games suck and games should be all about gameplay (i guess 2014 me would be very disappointed in 2017 me)
so there were two things that finally got me interested.
the first one was 20 minute long andromeda glitches compilation by crowbat, you know the one. i watched it, laughed so hard i nearly suffocated, but also thought “the game sure is buggy, but the setting looks interesting and the raptor girl is cute”. I guess thats the good thing about andromeda release state, a lot of pepole saw that video and maybe some of them, like me, went back and played the trilogy
the second thing was an article (by kotaku i think but i might be wrong, dont remember how i found it) that was called among the lines of “why women want to fuck Garrus Vakarian”.
yep, pretty self-explanatory.
granted, i heard about Garrus and also Tali and some other characters long before that, but this is what finally made me go “okay. NOW i really fucking intrigued”, because i saw a few screenshots and really loved Garrus` character design (honestly i think i would still draw tons of fanart of him even if he was completely boring, i am that much into his design) and from what ive read he seemed like someone exactly up my alley personality-wise
and oh boy. the game sure delivered. here i stand, balls-deep in the mass effect hell.
I guess its not as interesting as some of you may hoped, but idk just wanted to share this lame little story. Have a shifty looking cow
