Last night I wore my full Transistor cosplay and performed in the mainstage contest with the prologue act I’ve been planning for two years!
It went beautifully. I lip-synced really well, the sword didn’t break when Boxer fell onstage with it, my dress tore away perfectly, the jacket went on smoothly, I didn’t fumble with the sword, and the lights went on just right.
EXCEPT
When my friend who was playing Boxer stumbled onstage and died, they fell a little harder than they intended and their wig flew entirely off. For the entire duration of the skit, Boxer was just bald. I had to act my heart out to a dead bald man.
When we won best performance they doffed their wig for the final bow.
