So I just thought something that I don't think's been addressed as far as I know. How do you think Papyrus felt in Axetale before his decline? IE when he learned his brother was gonna marry his best friend (I'd say Undyne is his best friend, but all of his friends are his best friends let's be real haha)? What about when he learned he was gonna be an uncle? How about when everything went down with Flowey, Toriel, Frisk being pushed out and Sans after he pushed them? Just wanna hear your thoughts

After Frisk’s run through the Underground had ended with Toriel crowned the queen, the human hunting initiative had been terminated. With this change in policy, Undyne had finally relented and permitted Papyrus to officially join the ranks of the Royal Guard!
Due to his shining report with the human (he was her best friend after all), and his own merits, Papyrus was a shoe-in for the newly made position of royal bodyguard. It was Papy’s job to protect and guide Frisk when Toriel couldn’t.
