I have two questions first how exactly do soul mates work as in is there only one all the other stuff two how long will Aliza live for will she have a normal human life span or a monster one or maybe somewhat in between?
Hokay. That first one is a… Pretty loaded question, with a very long explanation. So I’m gonna water it down quite a lot.
Soul mates are what equate to two halves of the same whole, two souls meant to be across time and space. Monsters feel the need to seek this other half out their entire lives, as monsters are one with their souls, but humans, most times at least (barring the most in tune with their own hearts), have no idea they are incomplete and go on unaware. It is a unique occurrence, with only one soul match. Sans and Frisk were such a pair, though they were mated for a very short time, only about two years, and thus, Sans was spared death when Frisk passed on, only taking great damage to his soul at the loss of her.
As for Aliza’s lifespan, it will be on the longer side of the monster spectrum. Skeleton monsters live a great deal of time; Gaster was alive well into his 1600’s before he fell, and his sons were hypothesized to be capable of living just as long, before the Hunger and loss damaged their souls. Sans will be lucky to live to see 400, with the state he is in, and Papyrus… Remains to be seen.
Aliza, being composed of a magical body and a human-like soul, is a highly magical being, and could live either a little short of her father’s original lifespan, perhaps 1000 to 1200 years, or even longer, to 2000+. It depends a great deal on her experiences in life, and who she mates her soul to, as soul mates’ lifespans are connected once they bond.
Sans, what was your wedding like? Do you have any videos or photos to remember it? Has Aliza ever asked about it?
“was the best day of my entire life, barring finding out frisk was carrying my child. she was so beautiful… everything i’d ever wanted. we were married in waterfall, in the gazebo overlooking springhaven. was a private thing, didn’t wanna have a big to-do about it, like they usually are for royalty… she knew me so well.”
His smile was painfully nostalgic, as though every word brought to mind unbearable tragedy.
“got lots of pics… one video. i look at ‘em sometimes, when i have time to be alone… so i don’t forget. they’re with all her other stuff. and aliza… never really asks me about her mother. i think she knows that it… it’s hard for me. i’ll show her someday, though. she should know what she meant to me.”
Did anyone else find out about Sans almost killing Frisk before finding out she was his soulmate? Because I don't think Toriel would be happy if she found out. Hell, she might have killed him or forbidden him from coming anywhere near Frisk.
No one ever knew but Frisk and Sans. And he didn’t exactly let himself off the hook, either. He never forgot what a dick he’d been… or how badly he hurt her. He fully expected her not to forgive him, or to want to ever see him. She did though, bless her soft and merciful heart. She understood his anger, and the circumstances that led to his lashing out. How could he have known she was held prisoner by the vengeful spirit of a long dead human? Why wouldn’t he think she was the one that had killed his brother, and had then played innocent? She understood completely.
I think I remember a comic when sans finds out ruby is actually Frisk, is that still canon? If so would Aliza ever find out that Ruby is really her mom?
