“It… it was an accident. A man attacked me, up there… he had a knife. He was gonna hurt me, he said- I only meant to push him away. My magic activated, though… he caught on fire, when I touched him. …he died later, I saw it on the tv. I still… I can still hear him screaming…”
She slowly sank to the floor, clutching her head and rocking back and forth.
“My soul is tainted with it… daddy said so, when he was still- before he knew I was his daughter… he judged me, with his magic… I’m a murderer…”
