I looked at my fanart of War Crimes with Anduin holding himself dying with Chromie, and I decided I wanted to draw more Anduin trauma with dragons…(wip)
(Work in progress) In 2019 I sketched a piece of the Alliance leaders and started to paint it but never got close to finishing it. Four years and one month later I’m finally gonna finish it (redraw it really, with some changes for Dragonflight). Ill try and do a Horde one after.
I think the reason his face is structured so differently between ingame cutscenes and cgi cutscenes is because these are actually just two different alternate universes. One where Anduin got his mom’s face and the other where he got his dad’s face. The ONLY difference between these worlds is which parent he resembles more.
Backed into a corner during the 4th war Anduin makes use of manipulation tactics taught to him as a child by Lady Prestor. Anything to win the war, he tells himself, yet he can’t see himself in the mirror anymore…
Abandoned 2021 WIP of Bolvar, Anduin, Sylvanas, and Arthas in a band, and then the beginning of a 2023 redraw where I replace Arthas with Darion so its more suited to the Crown of Wills quest.
I want to come back to this eventually…
Did some sketches for color ideas, im not happy with Sylvanas she needs more dark colors n stuff, but i still very much adore Mawduin’s design.
