Nero questions! 10, 14, 16, 24?

10. How do they feel about becoming a Rogue Trader? How easily do they take to being the head of the von Valancius dynasty?

Nero is used to being a leader, he has experience from 10 years of commanding his void rats. He just feels uncomfortable being treated like a noble. At first, he was shocked to find that there were almost no consequences for his questionable actions. He learns quickly, but he still sometimes behaves barbarically and has no manners.

14. Who was the most important person in their life prior to becoming a Rogue Trader? Is that person still in their life now?

Draka, a woman from Death World. She was Nero’s right hand when he was the Crime Lord. Tall, muscular, loyal and fond of pretty ladies. She currently runs the Crime Lord’s affairs in the Calixis Sector, filling in for Nero. So yeah, they are still in touch and drinking together when she visits Koronus Expanse! (she’s still in concept art and my docs files, but I’m sure I’ll draw them together some day :>)

16. What is their Archetype?

Warrior – Assassin – Unsanctioned Psyker (biomancer)

24. Do they place value in how their protectorate sees them? Does this sway their decisions at all?

Nero doesn’t care if his protectorate considers him a xenophile, a pirate, a heretic, or unworthy the Warrant. As long as his subjects obey him and don’t plot his assassination, he doesn’t care what they think of him, fear him or adore. He can be a ruthless tyrant and sometimes a compassionate leader to his subjects, depending on what he wants to achieve with them.

But I don’t want him to seem like he’s always showing himself being insane. Tho, I had some idea of his interaction with Heinrix with the unhinged face he didn’t hide 👀

Note: Nero hums when he is stressed to calm himself down. Heinrix chose the wrong time to bore him with his gaze

Nero set Ulfar free without a doubt. He likes dogs

I love Nero so much! No only is his concept by itself is cool af but also your art! Can't help but wonder how he would interact with other RTs! And with Argenta XD Somehow I'm morbidly cutious if they would get along or fight 🤔🤔🤔

With Winterscale, they would drink, argue, fight for Footfall, drink, fight drunk for another reason, drink, and do it all over again until they pass out. I really like their bromance :D I am preparing some art with them. They are piling up in my WIPs, but one day I will finish them all.

Nero would rather meet Chorda’s mother rather than with her. At least she’d understand his xenos appreciation.

Argenta is still part of his retinue. He needs her as a combat unit, nothing more and thus no need to get rid of her. It’s fun to mock Dogmatics too.

I just want to say that I love your RT, he looks like he has rabies maybe and I want to give him a little smooch but I feel like he may bite... whatever tying little bows into his hair rn he's so cute even when he looks crazy 💔

No worries, he is now sedated, tied up and muzzled for smooches and cuddles (just in case, I would do all med tests after…)
