Zegris’s segment consists of fifty assassins. All of them - along with Zegris - underwent a painful and lengthy ritual in which their personalities were fragmented and then reassembled by Marae. Bound by his energy, the assassins have a semblance of a shared consciousness; they can disconnect from it for a while, but most of the time they prefer to be “in the family”. All this guarantees them psychological safety and trust within the segment, but a strong xenophobia towards the world. They are silent to an outside observer, although in fact they constantly chirp, just in each other’s heads :3
Here Zegris shares the feeling of connection with his segment with Arzokith (char of @hyenamurena qwq <3).

Zegris controls a small elite segment consisting of fifty lightweight assassins, 25 Drukhari in a group. Only half of them are taken on a raid: the segment is extremely important for Marae, and it is also easier for Zegris to control a small group.
Zegris and his subordinates are “glass cannons”: one hit is enough for them to kill an average enemy, but they are lightly armored and are easy to disable. Of course, you have to hit them first: they move around the battlefield on fast gliders and rush into attack instantly, even by Drukhari standards. Due to the special relationships in the segment, assassins are used to working together. They mainly work in pairs, less often in trios, but any assassin can replace another in a formed mini-team. Nevertheless, they all act according to the general vector that Zegris sets; the commander’s failure threatens complete disarray among his subordinates, and in such cases Marae has to search for Zegris on the battlefield with one hand and calm the assassin’s hive with the other. Fortunately, this doesn’t happen too often :DD
Assassins are often used to drive dangerous enemies for the archon, as well as beautiful battle recordings that can be shown off after the raid. Like Marae himself, Zegris and his subordinates work for an aesthetic picture.

Just Marae and an apple slice :D
