Painting process of my art trade for wonderful @aevari 💖💖

Steps below!

This was my first art trade in my artist career ever as I didn’t have an opportunity to make one previously, but this was such a positive experience overall, I was extremely happy with the outcome! ;w; Heartfelt kudos to @aevari for this lovely exchange!!!

I really enjoyed exploring and renovating my stylized approach technique, making it more rendered, but more expressive at the same time. I love expressiveness in strokes and lines. Though I at the same time love the neatness and crispiness in other artists’ works as well, but this was never what my heart craved. Even if I managed to sit and sweat out the perfect lines, it was an incredibly stressful experience.

After beating myself with the stick and watching some painting courses I decided it’s finally time to let go of this completionist mentality and to embrace this kind of a jagged and raw inky feeling, to let myself be free and let me express myself in the way that is most joyful and comfortable.
