Hey!

First of all your art is fantastic, second I really like Elden Ring and Warhammer, and I think there's a little bit of overlap with some of the lore/characters (the whole Shaman fusion thing with Emps n Marika probably, for example)

Something I thought about a lot is Godwyn (my favorite character in the game-yeah idk how that happened either) and Sanguinius -

They both are: Golden Boys, One of the Best Fighters, Actually Beloved by All/The Coolest Dudes, Offed by a Conspiracy/Family, and their presence is tangiblly felt and twisted (Death Blight/Black Rage)

Do with that what you will :) draw Sanguinius as Godwyn and I will forever be in your debt

Hi! Thank you very much and yes I totally agree!!
if you look at my acc you can see that I am also a long-time fan of Elden Ring, and before dlc and Messmer, my first and favorite was Godwyn. although i wouldn’t say that’s my type, i like forgotten kids like Konrad and Messmer.
BUT THIS IS HOW IT TURNED OUT AHAHA.

also, not long ago I drew on this topic, but I was not sure about the video sequence because this topic is difficult for me and i delete that post. but now I have a reason to show it again!

ALSO, OH MY GOD THEIR FATES ARE SO SIMILAR THAT I’M TEARING OUT MY HAIR
I’ll be honest, I believe in the role of Marika as a goddess who lost her firstborn much more than in the emperor who supposedly also grieves. Forgive me, but with all my desire, I don’t believe in him as a “father” figure in divinity, while Marika, having become a deity, continued to remain a mother, although she became the same ephemeral and detached force as the emperor.
the emperor very much shows that for him “sons” are still instruments. when for marika they were cursed children, whom she so desperately birth and wanted to heal. some of them can also be called instruments, like Miquella Malenia and Ranni (and Messmer). But even so, they seemed to have more opinion on this issue.
overall warhammer is perfect, but i miss a truly real mother figure, but not erda, who has an incredible connection with her children.

Don’t take my words about the emperor seriously. In my family, a father showing love to his children is something that is not considered necessary, while a mother is a friend, support, this is the most precious thing, that’s why I am starting from my life experience.

I also wanted to add that I understand that the situations and stories are different, but the concept of God and semi-gods children is always the same.
