Annotations for FTWWW

Lyric: The heart you got, it ain’t the one you need
Annotation:
This could be referencing how the porno droids are prostitutes, and in that business, you shouldn’t let feelings get in the way. Even the most expensive droids only really have “semiautomatic” feelings, by design.

Lyric: But tonight, we’d sell our skins to get you right
Annotation:
This song is likely a reference to the porno-droid characters Red and Blue from the Danger Days: California comic books. In the comics, the characters are sex workers so this line is likely a reference to prostitution.

Lyric: We all got to die
Annotation:
humans are mortal and because of that we do die. depending on how you think of this lyric it could be more so the killjoys speaking how battery city thinks of them or it could be way more literal

Lyric: Make cavities
Adjust because it purely is a crime
Annotation:
this is saying the people from before want to keep the world “pure” what they are doing is “impure”. this lyric is basically mocking those people (both fictional ones and irl ones) (feel free to add to this I will probably accept the edit if I think it adds to this or even if it fixes some grammar mistake)

Lyric: Turn up the fakes and lies, just answer me
You stare me down and take my only guise
Annotation:
He may be referring to Val Velocity in the comics who is a wannabe Party Poison that stole their look.

Lyric: I’ll be ready with leather arms, with leather slide
Annotation:
Could be a reference to the pornodroid named Red who was in a relationship with another pornodroid named Blue in the comics.

Lyric: Spit casually
Annotation:
This could be referring to the age old question “spit or swallow?” when talking with someone who gives bjs. Since this line comes from a “porno-droid” it’s very likely that she’s referring to spitting like it doesn’t bother you that your gov. assigned purpose is sexually pleasing people whether you want to or not. Also swallowing after a blowjob has connotations of something you’d do for a partner either because they like it or you feel inclined because you love them.

Lyric: They wanna grip the cross
Annotation:
PROPOSED SUGGESTION: They want to defend their hate by using religion to try and back it up. Religion is often used to as an excuse for homophobia and misogyny.

Lyric: She said, ”Come on, come on, kiss my battery
Come on, come on and fuck this whole wide world”
Annotation:
This could refer to the android girl telling him to try to fuck (have sex) as often as possible no matter what, even if it means fucking this whole wide world. Or it could mean the singer is interrupting the android girl saying that this world is messed up for the fact that she would want him to have sex with a robot. In this interpretation the singer is using fuck not in a sexual term, but in a negative explimation.

Lyric: She said, ”Come on, come on, kiss my battery
Come on, come on, I’ll be your android girl”
Annotation:
This phrase could reference to the android robots in Gerard Way’s comic that was based on the album that this EP went hand-in-hand with. These androids are also called ‘porno-droids’ due to their role in society, which could justify the ‘kiss my battery.’ They do also run on batteries.
