Martin is…not very nice to Jon in MAG 194, is he? I assume he’s scared of losing Jon, which is fair, but…Jon definitely didn’t like smiting people! Not really, at least. I think some part of him liked how it felt to be that powerful (I may be wrong, though), but he definitely didn’t like destroying people.

It also seems weird because it’s like their positions on stuff switched. Now Martin is saying you can’t change anything so there’s no point in Jon being the Pupil, and Jon is saying he could, possibly. I guess when Jon said they couldn’t change anything, he wasn’t thinking of becoming the Pupil, but still.
